May Update

This may be too much to fit into one post, but I've always been up for a challenge.
Joel sold his little red and white boat and bought a jet ski for the lake.  Reid thought it was pretty fun, even just sitting in our driveway.  Imagine what fun it will be on the lake!
After 15 years of teaching at SLDM, I decided to put a sticker on the window of my car.
Reid was pretty excited about being Star of the Week in his classroom.  I loved looking through old photos to put on the board.  Notice Michelle is on there twice...He just adores her!
I ordered my groceries online and picked them up after church on Sunday.  My life will never be the same again.  Such a time saver!
Reese and her friends had to film a video in a rainforest.  After a disappointing trip to a local botanical gardens, we improvised and turned our backyard into a jungle.
Notice the snake and monkey in the trees.

Ryan used a gift card he won to treat his siblings to ice cream.  How sweet!

I loved cuddling with Colleen any chance I could get.
On Mother's Day, all I wanted was a picture of me with my kids.  (Remember how I am never in the pictures unless I take a selfie.)  No one wanted to cooperate at first, but they finally gave in.
Reese will always take a picture with me.
Grandpa Stan loves coming to cheer on Ryan at his baseball games.

Reid invited two friends over for his very first sleepover.  This was kind of a belated birthday celebration since his birthday fell right around Easter and Spring Break.
We went to play laser tag and then went out for pizza.
A rare sweet moment among siblings.
Reid and Drake
The boys loved playing in the cul-de-sac.

We even had time to go play at the park.  This is my favorite picture ever!
The next morning before Fletcher got picked up.
Drake went with Reid to his soccer game.  The temperature dropped dramatically, and the wind was so strong.  Luckily I had this blanket in the car, and the boys huddled up to stay warm.

Meanwhile, Joel sent me this picture of Ryan pitching for the first time ever!
Joel and I were going out for dinner and had Reese snap a picture of us in our colorful sunroom.
Ryan participated in the 4th Grade wax museum, where each student dressed up and told about the life of a famous Hoosier.  Ryan chose Eli Lilly.
Reid having fun after school.  Here is Mr. Worthington.
More baseball...
...lots of baseball.
I participated in the staff vs. 8th grade volleyball game.
Field Day!  Here is Uncle Keith leading a station with my class.
Fr. Janko said good-bye to the school as he was getting ready to take a position with the Air Force as a chaplain.

Aunt Holly and Kate came to visit for lunch.

All of the kindergarteners read stories they had written.  I was so glad I could make it down to hear Reid's story!

Joel learned a valuable lesson about cutting down trees that are leaning.
You need to be careful that your chainsaw doesn't get pinned in the tree.
Luckily we have a tree guy in the family who can come and help out when we're in a pinch.
He gave Joel some fancy chaps to wear.

Joel and I are kind of obsessed with hawks.  I saw this hawk one night as we were leaving Fazoli's.
We love when the triplets come and play afterschool when they are at their grandparents' house.

Baby Colleen was baptized over Memorial Day weekend.

And that was May in a nutshell!
