Kate

We watched Kate for Holly one Saturday, and I just had to take some pictures of this cuteness.

We just love her to pieces!

More birthday celebrations...

We got together with my family to celebrate Ethan's and Ryan's birthdays.

Ethan's face just cracks me up!!!

A few days later, Joel's parents came down to celebrate Ryan's birthday.  We met them for lunch, then they came back to our house to hang out for a bit.

They also brought a gift for Joel.  He got into a minor accident on the way to work in December, so he had to get a new car.  He ended up getting a Honda Accord, so his parents brought him a little gift to celebrate.  :)

Then we had to check out one of Ryan's birthday gifts.

I was going to take a picture of everyone, and Reese was poised and ready to go.  So of course I had to take a picture of her.  :)

Other than the fact that Reid is holding a basketball, I think this a great picture!

And that concluded Ryan's birthday celebrations. :)

Ryan's 9th Birthday Party

Ryan turned 9 on January 16th, and that day happened to fall on a Friday.  So he decided to invite three friends home from school that day to help him celebrate.  He chose Lukas, Luke, and Eli.  Honestly, I wish we could've invited the entire third grade group of boys, but I wasn't up for a sleepover with 25 boys!  :)

After having pizza, we headed to the Y to swim.  There's something about being able to swim in the winter and at night that just seemed like fun.

After leaving the Y, we headed to Dairy Queen for a birthday treat.  I personally would not have wanted ice cream after being soaking wet, but these boys were up for it!
The worker was giving two of the boys a hard time about what they had ordered.  He said they would never be able to finish the whole thing, which made the boys more determined.  I can't remember if he asked to be in the picture, or if we asked him. Either way, I love this photo!
The boys came back to our house and played the Wii for awhile before bed.  And of course getting them to actually fall asleep was a bit of a production.  ;)  I think Ryan had a great birthday party!
