We had so much fun trick-or-treating tonight in our neighborhood. Our first trick-or-treater of the night was Aunt Holly, who was wearing a very fashionable witch hat. Too bad I didn't get a picture of it--it was really cute! She came over to help get the kids ready and try to convince them to eat something substantial before going out to beg for candy. Silly us to think that would be a good idea!
Emily, Kenton, and their daughter, Gabby, came over to go trick-or-treating with us...even though poor Gabby didn't get any candy. She looked super cute in her costume, though!
Grandpa Stan and Grandma Linda even stopped by to see the kids. (Happy birthday, Grandma Linda!!!!)
We also met up with Reese's BFF (Best Friend Forever), Carly, and her new friends Ella and Lauren and their families. Reese pretty much remembered exactly what to do. You ring the doorbell, say "trick-or-treat," and someone will give you candy. She likes Halloween a lot!
Little Ryan, on the other hand, was still trying to figure out what to do. He would eagerly run up to the door, only to take something out of his own bag and try to give it to the person handing out the candy! I was partly proud to see that he wanted to share his stash, but partly disappointed that we wouldn't be bringing enough home for me to snack on later! :)
Here's a picture of the kids after we let them each have one treat:
And surprisingly--even after all of the sugar--they were still in bed by 8:15 p.m. Now THAT'S a treat!!!
